Gala ConcertAn event that showcased the work by Westall students in an International festival of music, song and dance. The Student Technical Support Team made a webcast of our concert. Family ScienceThe Science Department assisted with the Family Science Evening at Clayton South Primary by putting on a show on the evening. Students were able to have hands-on experience doing simple experiments. They viewed micro-organisms, crystals, moths, beetles, spiders, etc., using various types of microscopes. The show was very well received with more than 300 parents & students attending. |

Canberra ExcursionForty-five Year 10 students took part in the annual excursion to Canberra. We all enjoyed a packed itinerary covering visits to Parliament house (both old and new), the Electoral Education Centre, the Royal Mint, Mt Stromlo Exploratory, the Screen and Sound Centre, the Australian Institute of Sport, Telstra Tower and Questacon. To understand Australian democracy, we did role-plays in the Parliament and at the Electoral Education Centre. |

Phillip Island ExcursionStudents from Westall's English Language Centre took a day trip to two of Phillip Island's most popular attractions; the Wildlife Park and Seal Rocks - a Sea Life Centre. |

Trip to FranceStudents from Westall went on a 17-day trip to France accompanied by other students and teachers from Ringwood Secondary College. There they visited one of Westall's sister schools in Paris. |
